Review Infinite Possibilites by Lisa Renee Jones

So as a big fan of Lisa’s this one was a little hard for me to review. I love Lisa’s style and her suspenseful, mysterious romance stories. I thought this was a two book series therefore I dived into this book with the expectations that all of our questions would be answered. I wouldn’t classify this as a cliffhanger but I feel like so many things were left unanswered. Book three will be written but not from Amy or Liam’s POV so I guess that’s it for them but I just want to get all the answers and an epilogue would be great cause “Amy” needs her HEA.
I can say that the book started out great, the story flowed and answers were coming in but then it kind of fell flat for me. It ended way too fast and certain things occurred that just didn’t seem right for the story. Liam is beyond swoon worthy of course, so that helped along the way. I will read the next book cause I want answers but I finished this one disappointed. I can say I’m glad I read it, I just wish it ended differently.

My Thoughts

This book is about a girl, or woman I guess you could say, who had a crush on a guy all through high school. The only problem was, he didn't look at her that way, or at least that's what she thought. 

When something happens and the two see each other at their high school reunion, she decides she isn't going to let him get away for a second time. Or will she?

I rate this book with 3.5 book marks. It's just enough to keep your attention. It was well written, I just thought the story line could have gone a little bit longer. BUT, it's a very good book and I would recommend to my friends.

About the Author

I love to read. I'm a huge fan of books and when I start reading anything, I usually forgo doing everything else, I mean the housework will still be there in the morning (right?). When I love a story or book that I've downloaded, I usually refrain from sleep and am crabby the next day - but only until I pick my iPad up and start reading again!

The idea for my debut novel HiT 149, came to me as I was chopping my vegetables for dinner and before the night was over I had written 10 chapters!

My goal with writing is just to take people away from whatever is going on in their lives, even if it's only for a split second.

I'm a go with the flow sort of person and don't really take a course of action to get where I am going. I live in the moment and don't usually worry about tomorrow because whatever life is due to bring me, I'll be happy to accept.

I love my family and friends and will help anyway I can if someone needs it. But I can be a bit daft sometimes and need to be told very specifically or it'll go over my head! I really don't like people that are nasty just because they can be, I don't believe that's necessary, I mean life is hard enough as it is!
I hope you enjoy my books, I've had a hoot writing them. There's more to come, and not all from the same series......

Christine's Review

This is one of those times that you should definitely not judge a book by its cover. I read the synopsis and I was interested to know more about this one, it didn't have that cookie cutter feel to what I tend to always been drawn to. I really liked that the characters were multi-cultural . Leona and Nathaniel had some crazy hot chemistry. Nathaniel, the tongue pierced police officer who speaks spanish, yum...yes, please! 

This story had a different flow and style then I'm use to but once I got past that which didn't take long, I was sucked into this suspenseful, dark twisted story. I liked that the whole story didn't revolve around the romance of the two characters, the author threw in some elements that kept me on my toes.  I wasn't sure what direction the author was taking this story, as there were so many dark twists and just when you get some answers...she leaves us wanting more. 

If you're looking for a different read with some suspense and  hot steamy sexiness then I say give this one a chance. 

I give this book 3.5 bookmarks.

I woke a few hours later with someone’s hand on my throat, I thought that it was Nathaniel trying to seduce me for make-up sex, but before I got the chance to tell him I still wasn't in the mood, it started choking me. They were getting tighter and tighter, blocking my airway so I couldn't breathe. My eyes started to tear up and my vision went blurry, I had to struggle to even keep them open.

My room was almost pitch black, but a sliver of light shined through my bedroom door and gave me a glimpse of my attacker. I stared at the woman and was sure that the lack of oxygen was making me delusional, it couldn't be her. My attacker could not be Naomi, not my best friend. Not my sister.

Tears poured down my cheeks as I realized I was right. I wasn't dreaming or going crazy and I couldn't understand it. The room started spinning and I felt like I was going to pass out.

Seconds later, Alex and Alyssa ran into the room to investigate the commotion. Nate was trying to pull her off, but she somehow seemed to be stronger than him. Alex was crying at her to stop but she wouldn't budge, she just stared at me with an unfamiliar anger in her eyes. The same anger we saw earlier at the club. Pulling and shouting at her clearly wasn't working, so Alyssa grabbed Nathaniel’s stun gun from his jacket pocket and shot volts of electricity through our friend. She instantly fell to the floor, unconscious.

No one had seen her reach for the gun, so the severity of the action shocked us all. Alyssa dropped to the floor and leaned over the still body. “I’m so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you, I didn't know what to do. Please forgive me, wake up.” She sobbed.

When I agreed to review this I realized it was book two of a series so of course I read Beautiful Chances first. The characters in this series are really good. I am a sucker for an alpha man and Kyle Madison definitely earns that title. I love how protective and sweet he is and the writer does a really good job showing you the lengths he will go to in order to keep Lily safe.

Lily...poor Lily. This girl is just suffering. She has so much loss in her life that you want to just hug her. She suffers from nightmares and although what happened with her family was traumatic I admit I wished she could work through it a little faster.

My Beautiful picks up right where Beautiful Chances left off. Lily goes with Kyle to her hometown so she can face her demons with her parents and sister's death. While there, she discovers a secret about her sister. Meanwhile Kyle ever the perfect boyfriend is right by her side. Then she learns that her stalker knows where she is at.

This book could have gotten a higher bookmark rating from me if it would have focused less on the sex between the two main characters and more on the stalker. The potential for suspense was so tangible and I was hoping the story would lean more that way. Regardless this book has earned 4 out of 5 bookmarks from me and I think you should definitely check it out.

The third and last installment of this book, Beautiful Dreams, is set to be released in January 2014. I hope Lily finally has beautiful dreams, that girl has earned it.
