iBooks | Kobo | Barnes & Noble | Amazon

ABOUT HIS REVERIE: I knew from the moment I first saw her she was the one. The only girl I could ever want. The only girl I could ever love. She is light. I am darkness. She is innocent. I’ve done too much. She is good. I am bad. She is my every dream. I should be her every nightmare. We come from different worlds. She’s...perfect. And I’m... Not. Somehow she wants me anyway. So we’ll grasp at what we can. We’re going to make this summer count. She’s my secret. And I’m hers. The problem with secrets is they never last for long. And when others discover we’re together, they’ll do whatever it takes to keep us apart. All I know is: I won’t let them. Because Reverie Hale? She’s mine. HIS REVERIE Excerpt: “Thirsty?” I jump at the sound of a soft female voice, my hand jerking so the hose splashes me right in the face. Muttering a curse, I drop the hose and reach out blindly, wrenching the faucet off with one hand as I swipe at my eyes with the back of the other. I hear the girl laugh and I whirl around, fully prepared to find some bratty preteen Hale daughter mocking me. But she’s not a preteen. Not even close. More like around my age. She’s tall and slender, her long blonde hair falling far past bared tan shoulders. She’s wearing some sort of sundress or whatever you call it and she’s pretty much covered since it hits just above her knees though her arms are exposed since the dress is sleeveless. The sun catches her just right though, shining through the thin fabric of her skirt so I can see through it. My gaze drops and all I can see is long, long legs through the shadowy fabric. Damn. Those sexy legs are endless. She clears her throat, like she knows exactly where I’m looking and what I’m thinking and I jerk my gaze up guiltily to meet hers, feeling like a jackass. That’s when I notice her eyes are blue. As blue as the sky above us, and she’s so damn pretty, with delicate features and pink, pink lips, that I can’t seem to form words. “Who are you?” she asks curiously. Her voice washes over me, sweet and melodic and now it’s my turn to clear my throat to get the lump out so I can freaking speak. “Who are you?” I ask back like an idiot. She smiles shyly and my entire body reacts, a bolt of electricity seeming to go through me. “I asked first.” “Are you Hale’s daughter?” If she is, that sucks because holy hell she’s hot but yeah. She’s completely untouchable if she’s a Hale. MonicaMurphypic-

Deciding Tomorrow by Renee Ericson Review

Deciding Tomrrow
Renee Ericson

What if a love, once lost, came around for a second chance?
After a fated meeting with the one person who captured her heart many years ago, Ruby Miller is taking a leap of faith, right into the arms of her past.
Four years have gone by since the tragedy that tore Ruby and Brent apart, setting them on different paths, battered and searching. Now, this couple divided by time and distance will have to fight for their love to survive in the present, as they try to deal with their past and the decisions that made them who they are today.
Is their love worth it? The same love they gave up on once before?
Can they put everything aside to see what's left of what they once shared?
Following their hearts, their minds, and Deciding Tomorrow.

About Renee Ericson

Renee Ericson is the author of the These Days series.

Originally from the Midwest, she now resides in a small town just outside of Boston with her husband and three children.

Most winters, Renee can be found on the slopes of the White Mountains skiing with her family. During the summer months, she likes to spend every spare minute at the beach soaking up the sea air. All those moments in between, she is talking to imaginary characters and caring for her children.

Excerpt

“Give that back,” I playfully snap, trying to snatch my stolen utensil. My attempts are useless, so I settle my hip against the counter again, crossing my arms. “Does my idea of romance scare you?”
“Just a little.” He tosses my spoon behind him and into the sink. “In an obsessively adorable way.”
“Adorable?”
“That’s what I said,” he taunts, taking another bite of ice cream.
“Not sexy?”
“Maybe if you did it in lace underwear. You have any of those?”
Stepping closer, I eliminate some of the physical space between our bodies. God, he smells so good.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” I ask, my voice seductively low.
“I might be interested.”
Another bite disappears between his lips. My chest expands as I inhale. The longing for his mouth as well as the ice cream escalates.
“Are you going to keep taunting me with that?” I play pout.
“What? This?” He lifts the empty utensil. “Or this?” He intentionally licks his lips, tempting me further.
“You’re mean.”
He chuckles, dips his spoon into the creamy green-and-black dessert, and then gestures the tasty sweet bite in my direction. I give him an apprehensive look, not trusting his generosity. This feels like a trick.
He raises the spoonful higher, and the ice cream’s coolness radiates, tingling the warmth of my lips. Measuring whether he’s playing a game or not, I tentatively open my mouth, and the tiny morsel on the spoon chills my tongue.
Brent sets the utensil on the counter and then gently presses his thumb against my icy lips, drawing a line along their shape. I shiver internally, and it’s not from the ice cream.
“Are you still teasing me?” I ask against his touch.
“I’ll let you figure that out.”

Forgotten Yesterday

MaRanda's Opinion

Okay, I know I've said it before, but this time I really really REALLY mean it, I am totally biased when it comes to this author. I have been with this series since After Tuesday...I was hooked within the first chapter. This whole series is a whirlwind of emotions.
I started Beta reading for Renee during Deciding Tomorrow, it was such an honor to be asked to be involved in something that will impact thousands of people.
Renee ended this series perfect. I honestly couldn't see any other way to end the series. Everything flows together and A LOT of questions will get answers.
I can't wait for the next book by Renee.

Reading order is:
After Tuesday
Forgotten Yesterday
Deciding Tomorrow

I, MaRanda, rate this book 6 Book Marks. Yep 6!

Song Chaser by Kandi Steiner Review

Title: Song Chaser
Series: Chasers #2
Author: Kandi Steiner
Release Date: July 1, 2014
Find on Goodreads
For more than a year, Tanner West has tried to shake his feelings for his long time best friend, Paisley Bronson. She was the perfect girl to fit the lyrics in all his favorite songs – the girl he had always wanted. When she fell in love with another man before Tanner had the chance to tell her how he felt, he was left with no resolve to find love again. Burying himself in school and easy girls has become his new lifestyle, but when Kellee Brooks shows up at his favorite bar, he begins to think there may be another verse to his song, after all.
Kellee Brooks moved to New York City for one thing: escape. Growing up in a small town where her entire life was planned out for her, she’s desperate to break free and find herself without following the same path as her mom. Kellee thought working at the local dive bar would mean more money for school, but when she meets the smoldering, scarred honey eyes of Tanner West, she finds there’s much more hiding in the smoky building than just a few tips.
With Paisley still haunting Tanner and Kellee vowing to save anyone the trouble of loving her, will the pain and fear keep them apart – or will they find a way to rewrite their song together?
Break free with this heartbreaking story of letting go and letting love in.
What people are saying about Song Chaser -
“This story will have you cheesy smiling, tearing up, mad, sad – every emotion will be brought out. READ THIS SERIES!” – Lyndsie, Mean Girls Luv Books

“You will laugh, cry and want to slap the crap out of Tanner a couple of times; I guarantee it! 5 *WINK* READ!” – Jessi, Book Flirts by Jessi

“Kandi Steiner has done it again….only even better.” – Booked on Romance

“Song Chaser is a great story on how 2 people can overcome their pasts and make a song of their own. 4 smooches!” – Sarah, Red Cheeks Reads

“It was beautiful. I hate to admit it (don't kill me Corbin!! I LOVE YOU BOO!) but I seriously loved Song Chaser more than Tag Chaser.” – Sam Stettner, Sammie’s Book Club
My heart feels like it’s about to beat right out of my chest. Tanner is looking at me like he’s not good enough to touch me and like he can’t keep his fucking hands off me all at the same time. I inhale deep, my breath shaky as I try to find the words to say. I want to talk about it more – about what she is to him, about when she’s coming and what I’m going to have to deal with – but right now all I can think about is how his hands feel on my waist, and how I wish he would touch every inch of my body with those hands.
“Kiss me,” I breathe.
Tanner doesn’t waste another second. His lips find mine, soft and gentle at first, but then a fire consumes us both and I’m biting his neck as he lifts me from my chair. He kisses down my collarbone and then back up to my ear, sending chills cascading down my arms and legs. I moan softly, running my fingers through his hair and tugging a little as I pull his lips back to mine. He slides his tongue between my lips and takes my mouth, deepening the kiss as his hands explore my body.
“How long until dinner?” he pants between kisses.
“Maybe twenty minutes.”
“That’ll do,” he replies, carrying me to the couch.
Tanner’s hands are hungry as he positions himself on top of me, pulling the straps of my tank top down to kiss my shoulders. He nips and sucks softly, trailing a line from my shoulders, to my neck, across my collar bone, and back again. Slowly, he kisses a little lower, sucking at the swell just above the hem of my top. I inhale sharply, my fingers gripping his hair.
“You taste so sweet,” he mumbles against my skin, lighting it on fire. He lifts my shirt and slowly kisses down my stomach, stopping just above the hem of my shorts. He blazes a trail of fire with his tongue from one hip to the other, working the buttons and zipper until he has my shorts loose enough to pull down my shaking legs and throw across the room. He smiles up at me, his sexy half grin silently killing me, and then he completely takes my breath away – because he pulls my panties off with his teeth.
With. His. Teeth.
Suddenly, my heart is beating in my throat. I’m not a virgin, but I’m definitely no where near as experienced as Tanner, no matter how cocky my façade may be. My legs are shaking uncontrollably and I feel it start to move up to my hands. Tanner stops kissing my thighs and looks up at me, concern laden on his face.
“Are you okay?” he asks, moving to position himself on top of me again. He brushes the hair from my face and pulls my shaking hand to his lips, kissing my fingers softly as he waits for me to reply.
I nod, though not confidently. “I hate admitting this to you, but I’m not that experienced.”
He smiles devilishly, his eyes lighting the fire in my stomach again. “You think I don’t know that? Why do you think I’m going so slow?”
I let out of a puff of air, “This is slow?”
His grin grows wider, “Trust me – if I had it my way, your ankles would have been on my shoulders the first night I saw you.”

Paisley's been assigned a new client at work, and his name is Corbin Ray.

Will Paisley and Corbin give in to the chemistry between them, or will their past and present complications keep them apart?

Fall in love with this fun and irresistibly naughty game of cat and mouse.

Who inspired you to start writing?
My mom, definitely. She's actually very into reading like I am and is a great writer herself. I hope to one day convince her to write a novel, too. She inspired me when I was very young and encouraged me to pursue my love of writing, no matter what. Everything I've written from awful love poems in high school (yuck!) to decent pieces in college, she has always been there for me.

Why romance?
Great question! I have no idea. I always pictured myself writing non-fiction or nothing at all, but one of my final capstone courses in college was an advanced fiction course that really turned me on to the possibilities of creating a story. Why romance specifically? Well, we could blame it on my husband for showing me love so early in life, but it's probably more Disney's fault than anyone else's. I'm a girl, I love to love, what could be better than romance writing?

How do you write your novels?
Sporadically and without any structure at all. Sometimes I'll be driving and I'll whip out my phone and record something to write down later. Sometimes I'll write a scene and sometimes I'll just write about my character to get to know them better. Eventually, I sit down and map everything out so that I don't forget anything (blonde moments are a habit for me) and then I slowly start piecing it all together. It makes sense to me, but if I told any of my professors this they might kill me lol.

When did you know you wanted to write a novel?
Honestly, it hit me out of the blue. I got the idea for Tag Chaser when I was in the shower and I just couldn't shake it. I was dreaming about the characters, writing random scenes in my head, and just thinking about them constantly. I decided it was a sign to stop being so scared of failure and just write it. The way I see it, the worst thing that could happen is no one likes it - and in that case it will still be loved by me and that's what matters.

Why should readers pick up Tag Chaser?
Tag Chaser is a unique story that I think hasn’t been told yet. Often times we fall in love with characters who are so perfect, either individually or for each other. Tag Chaser is about exploring our imperfections and learning not to fight that chemistry that sometimes we just feel, whether it’s easy or not. I think anyone who reads Tag Chaser will laugh and love, and those are both two very beautiful things.

Kandi Steiner is a Creative Writing and Advertising/Public Relations graduate from the University of Central Florida living in Tampa with her husband. Kandi works full time as a social media specialist, but also works part time as a Zumba fitness instructor and blackjack dealer.

Kandi started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic (like most girls brought up on Disney movies).

When Kandi isn’t working or writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys beach days, movie marathons, live music, craft beer and sweet wine – not necessarily in that order.

MaRanda's Opinion

Okay, I can honestly say that Kandi Steiner is a #WritingGoddess!
Her writing is flawless. Not only is her writing amazing, but she is an amazing person!
I'm not going to give you the play by play of this awesome novel, because you can get that from the synopsis. What I am going to tell you that this book totally changed my view on Tanner. Yes, I admit, I really didn't like him in Tag Chaser, But that was only because I had eyes for Corbin. ;)

Please, I know I say this with almost every one of my reviews, but I really really really mean it with this one. READ THIS BOOK.
But read Tag Chaser first, so you aren't totally confused.

I mean I seriously sat down and read Tag Chaser in a day. Did not move, eat or go to the bathroom. And Song Chaser was no different! !!

I rate this book 6 - YES 6 book marks!

Craving Absolution (Aces #3) by Nicole Jacquelyn

Farrah Miller and Cody "Casper" Butler have a longstanding relationship that both refuse to discuss.

It isn't romantic.

It may not even be classified as a friendship.

Casper's been saving Farrah from herself for longer than he'd care to admit, watching silently as she drowned herself in alcohol and bad decisions. Then when she finally got her act together, he left. He told himself he was giving her time to sort herself out. He tried to give her space.

But getting shot in the chest can change a man's perspective, and Casper's done waiting.

When he shows up on her doorstep one night, everything changes.

He's the man who's seen her at her very worst.
She's his weakness.
He runs when things get hard.
She never lets anyone see below the surface and is terrified of being abandoned.

Casper knows it's a long shot, that there's a good chance she'll never drop her guard for him- but he has to try. Because a life with Farrah is exactly what he wants...
Even if he has to fight her for it.

Interview Questions with Nicole Jacquelyn

How many books are you planning to have in this series?

As of right now, the Aces Series is a trilogy. However, Poet’s story is already in my head and I just know it won’t be long before I have to write it. There is also another couple that is going to need their story told—once you’ve read Craving Absolution, you’ll know exactly who I’m talking about. But for now, three books. I just don’t think I’ll be able to stay away from the Aces for long… I love them too much.

How did the idea behind Craving Constellations come to you?

I have no idea! None. It started out abstractly, a story about a woman on the run from her abusive husband…who goes to the bad guys for safety. Once it was in my head, it just snowballed, I could see her. I knew where she was going… so I sat down and wrote.

Are you planning to write anything other than books about MC's?

Definitely. The new series I’m putting together doesn’t have anything to do with Motorcycle Clubs—though that doesn’t mean that none of the heroes will ride a bike. J It’s about family, the ones you’re born into and the ones you make for yourself. A group of foster kids that left home when they turned eighteen and are just starting to trickle back into their hometown. I’m just starting to map out how all of the characters are connected, how they interact, their backstories and personality quirks. I can’t start writing the next story until Craving Absolution is published though—it just doesn’t feel right to write other characters before my Casper and Farrah are out in the world.

Dawn's 4.5 Star Book Mark

OMG! Finally! Ok so here's the deal. The first book in this series had me excited. I loved Dragon and Brenna. The second book had me a tad disappointed which is surprising because I loved Grease but for some reason the story of Asa and Callie left me a little flat. So when I was reading this I was unsure if this book would be one that excited me or left me a tad disappointed. Let me tell you this book was AWESOME!

So we have Farrah and Casper (Cody). Casper is the younger brother of Callie. He has loved Farrah for a long time. Farrah was a mess after Echo's death. She was using alcohol and drugs to ease her pain. Casper has seen her at her lowest of lows, a fact that is hard for Farrah to get over. When Casper decides he has given Farrah enough time to grieve and she has straightened up her act keeping clear of the booze and drugs he makes his move. The relationship between these two is sweet and the chemistry between them amazing.

Casper and Farrah develop a solid relationship. However, anytime things get a tad rough Casper has a hard time sticking around and talking things out with Farrah. This made me want to smack him upside the head. Farrah, bless her heart, knows that despite his skittish ways is worth it and she allows his apologies time and again. When a horrendous incident happens forcing Casper to do something that messes with his head he pushes Farrah away. The MC is there for him but in the meantime it triggers actions that put Farrah into danger.

I loved this book and especially the epilogue. I am dying for two other books and hope Ms. Jacquelyn will write their stories as well. Pick this book up you won't be disappointed!

Christine Says:

Gosh, where do I start? This is hands down a favorite series of mine. Jay continues to share amazing stories with beyond amazing characters that I don't ever want the stories to end, EVER!

We met Lucy and Cam in More than This, however with this book we get to learn how their journey of love all began. I knew from the start that their story was going to be amaze-balls, I just wasn't prepared to be completely owned.

If you haven't read the prior books in this series, I recommend you stop whatever you're doing and pick them up! I mean I guess you can keep reading this review but really what are you waiting for? I do recommend that you read the books in order to truly experience the More than awesome characters in these stories.

This book sucked me in right from the beginning. Lucy and Cameron's story was beyond perfect.

Cameron and Lucy meet at a young age of 15 unfortunately due to the death of Lucy's mom. Lucy had a lot on her plate but Cameron showed up and wanted to be there for her. Cameron's love for Lucy was fierce and he is beyond swoon worthy. Through the years their love for each other only grew, they were soul mates. This was an emotional journey of loss, love, pain, closure, doubt yet lots of hope. I cried so many tears, happy and sad. I most defiantly needed a few "Dylan" moments to reel in all the feels. Don't worry drunk Lucy made a few appearances and had me laughing so hard! Drunk Lucy is he BEST!!

This is a story that you will want to read over and over again. Cameron and Lucy experienced so much together and the growth through their journey was beautiful, raw and inspiring. If you're a fan of love, than this one is for you.

This is a tough one to say cause I totally want to get layooked by Logan but after this one...I so want to be read by Cameron. Who am I kidding, I want both!

More than Forever gets Eleventy-three perfect stars! I can't wait for More!!

EXCERPT

"I hate that guy," Logan jerks his head toward Jake and a new kid.

"The new kid? Dylan?"

He nods. "He thinks he owns the school."

"Really?" I glare over at them. "Apparently he kills it on the basketball court, but I dunno."
I shrug. "He hasn't said two words to me. He seems quiet."

"Those are the ones you have to worry about, Cam. The quiet broody assholes get all the girls. Better watch him around that new girl of yours."

I play dumb. "What new girl?"

"Shut up, asshole. You don't think I notice you watching her all the fucking time?"

I lift my chin. "I think if there's an asshole in this entire school to watch out for, it's you."

He laughs and adjusts his cap. "You don't need to worry about me. I'm not into stealing my friend's girls." He shoves his hand in his catcher's glove and smacks my arm with it. "Say the word. Claim her. I promise to stay away and I'll make sure she's untouchable to everyone else."

"I'm not an asshole and she isn't property. I can't own her."

"If that's what you want." He raises an eyebrow. "She's cute. In a couple years she'll be hot. Guys will be all over her. I'm just trying to help out."

I think about what he's saying, and he makes a good point. Only he's wrong—she's hot now. "Fine. I claim her. She's mine."

His smirk is instant. "You can't own someone, you pig. She isn't property. "
I laugh. "Fuck you."

Jake struts over to us. "Ya reckon that new kid Dylan can hang out with us this arvo? He seems like a top bloke."

Logan's gaze moves to me, confusion clear on his face. I shrug. He lets out a chuckle before gripping both of Jake's shoulders and shaking him gently. He looks him right in the eye, speaking slowly and clearly. "I have no idea what the fuck you just said."

The More Series

More Than This, #1

*Mikayla*
In one night my fairytale ended. Or it may have begun. This is my story of friendship and love, heartbreak and desire, and the strength to show weakness.

*Jake*
One night I met a girl. A sad and broken girl, but one more beautiful than any other. She laughed through her sadness, while I loved through her heartbreak.

*This is our story of a maybe ever after.*

He was right. It made no difference whether it was 6 months or 6 years.
I couldn’t undo what had been done. I couldn’t change the future.

I couldn’t even predict it.

It was one night.

One night when everything changed.

It was so much more than just the betrayal.

It was the Tragedy.
The Deaths.
The Murders.

But it was also that feeling.

The feeling of falling.

And my choice to chase her the second. But sometimes you don't get a choice, and all you get are the consequences.” "Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” Unless that someone is Logan Matthews. More Than Him, #3

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us." - Marianne Williamson

We live in a world of darkness and shadows,
where monsters hide and aim to ruin.
And they did.
They ruined us and turned our dreams into nightmares.
But now we're back.
And we're fighting.
