MaRanda's Review
Okay, so I’ve been waiting for this book for quite a while. I fell in love with all the characters in Lick. And they’re back! Play is Mal’s book. In case you have forgotten, Mal is Stage Dive’s drummer.
Kylie didn’t disappoint with this book. You get it all….Love, Romance, Humor...okay, LOTS of humor. I caught myself literally laughing out loud at the crazy things Mal does or says.
This is the PERFECT book to read after reading one of those ugly cry books.
I beg you, READ THIS BOOK. But, note, you do need to read Lick - Stage Dive (#1) first.

Dawn's Review
I'm a sucker for boys in bands so of course I read Lick and Play. Let me just tell you Play was so incredibly different than Lick that I was sort of shocked it was written by the same author. Play is the story of Mal and Anne - "pumpkin".
Anne goes to a party with her neighbor after discovering her roommate skipped out on past rent and half the bills. She runs into Mal who is taking a moment to himself and he instantly draws her in. He overhears her talking with Reece, her boss and crush of two years, about her situtation and Mal comes up with a grand plan. He'll move in with her.
For the record, I love Mal. I want a Mal. He is funny, sexy and so damn odd but with Anne's laid back attitude they really work. It isnt a big stretch for them to fall into a relationship. They have just enough quirky weirdness and understanding that you can tell right away they are meant to be together. The author does this flawlessly.
Now here is the part that I hate about reviews. I never know how much to divulge and how much is considered a spoiler. With this in mind I'll just state that I devoured this book in hours. I was laughing out loud at Mal's antics and how Anne dealt with them. This is a book you will want to have on your kindle because trust me, it quickly became one of my favorites that I have read so far this year and I know I will reread it. Get this book, trust me!
