I am a huge fan of J4 and her Mitchell Family Series so I was beyond excited to read anything by her. This one completely blew me away. J4 really out did herself with the story of Katy Evans. Right from the beginning I was sucked in and was sent on an emotional roller coaster to the very last page. I really enjoy the authors style and I felt every emotion along with Katy. Unlike the Mitchell Series this book was completely from the female’s POV and I think it was beyond perfect.
Katy has two best friends, Brooks and Branch Valentine and as they grew up her love for both of them also grew but then tragedy occurred changing how it all should’ve played out. She loves one more than the other but she thinks he doesn’t feel the same way so she settles for the wrong twin. Years later that connection that they have always shared is tested resulting her ending up in bed with the wrong brother the night before her wedding. To not cause any more pain, Katy runs from the only family she has left to start a new life but you never can run far, especially when you now carry a life of the one man you were truly meant to be with.
Gosh my heart broke so many times for Katy and man did Branch really upset me. I felt the pain, the love, the heart break, and the healing. Brooks Valentine is your next book boyfriend. I recommend that if you are a fan of romance than this book is for you. Pick up your copy today!
